We are instructed throughout Scripture to be like Jesus, to be imitators of the Lord.  Jesus was all about people -- building relationships, loving everyone, especially the unlovable. We are told over and over again to help those who need help, to get our hands dirty in His name.

While Jesus certainly spent time in the Temple worshiping his Father and studying Scripture, he did not live there.  We are taught that the Lord spent a lot of time with others, healing, teaching, telling stories, helping, probably even laughing, telling jokes, playing games.

This site is about Being Like Him -- our Lord. One way to do that is to help others. A wonderful result of that is that you get to build relationships, make new friends. Because we all know that if 2,000 years ago someone needed a door hung or a table built, Jesus (being the carpenter) would have been the first one there with his tool chest.
